5 Welcome to LONDON As we know London is the capital of Great Britain. It is situated on the river Thames. It is an ancient city.

6 St Paul’s Cathedral This is one of the most famous buildings in the
world. The clock tower on the West Side has the bell known as Great Paul. At three metres in diameter, it is the heaviest swinging bell in the country.

7 The Tower This is one of the most ancient buildings of
London. It is situated on the north bank of the Thames. It was founded in the 11th century by William the Conqueror. It comprises 20 towers. The oldest of which is the White Tower. The Tower is famous as home of the Crown Jewels.

8 Westminster Abbey This is a Gothic building, which is situated
opposite the Houses of Parliament. It is a great work of many people of different centuries. The oldest part of the building dates from the 8th century. Abbey is wonderful with its Chapel of Henry VII. The Chapel is made of stone and glass.

9 Welcome to Wales Wales is a part of Great Britain. It is the
country of lakes and mountains. The population of Wales is over 3 million people. North Wales is a country of mountains and deep valleys, South Wales is a land of high hills and wide valleys.

10 Snowdonia Snowdonia is a picturesque region in Wales.
Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales.

11 Cardiff The capital of Wales is Cardiff, the largest city
of Wales. Cardiff is situated near the mouth of the Taff River. It is an important industrial city and a port. It is also an administrative and educational centre. The Welsh people are fond of folk music, poetry and drama. Welsh literature is one of the oldest in Europe.

12 Welcome to Scotland Scotland is a country in the north of Great
Britain. Five million people live in Scotland. Scotland is full of mountains and lakes. The highest mountain is Ben Nevis. There are a lot of rivers there.

13 Edinburgh The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh, well
known for its castle. Edinburgh is the cultural centre of Scotland. There are museums, galleries, cinemas, parks, sports facilities.

14 Glasgow Glasgow is the second biggest city of Scotland.
Glasgow is the industrial capital of Scotland. Shipbuilding, iron, steel, machinery, chemicals, textile, clothing, marine and aero engines, machine tools are the leading industries in Glasgow. Glasgow is famous for football teams: Rangers and Celtic.

15 Welcome to Tolyatti Tolyatti is a city in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is the administrative center of Stavropolsky District. It is the largest city in Russia which doesn’t serve as an administrative center of a federal subject. There are three districts in the city: Avtozavodsky, also called New City, is the most modern; it was designed to host the workers of the city's AvtoVAZ factory, home of the Lada car; Tsentralny, also called Old City, home of the city government and industrial center; Komsomolsky, the oldest district.

16 The Spaso-Preobrazhenskiy cathedral
This is one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the world. Erection of the cathedral has begun in 1996 and was finished in Capacity is more than 3000 persons. Height of a cathedral is 62 metres. Floors are laid out by a mosaic from twelve kinds of marble.

17 Glory obelisk It is constructed in honour of heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The monument has the classical form in the form of tetrahedral of stella. On each of its sides there are bas-reliefs with the image of fighters for freedom (townsmen): Heroes of the Great Patriotic War: Pilot Victor Nosov, Infantryman Vasily Zhilin, Seaman Evgenie Nikonov; And also Vasily Banykin. Оpening of a monument was on October, 26th, 1958.

18 Monument of "Devotion" This is a monument of dog waiting for the
owners. Sculptor is Oleg Klyuyev. Height of sculpture is more than One and a half metres. It Is established on a granite pedestal. Opening of a bronze monument was on June, 1st, From these days it became a symbol of Tolyatti.
