2 The Parliament There are two parts( house of Commons and house of Lords ). Commonly know as House of Parliament, it is also know as the ‘’heart of British politics”. The palace lies on the north bank of the river Thames in the city of Westminster, in central London. It is built in 1016 and it is rebuilt in ( 30 years ). One part of the Parliament was burn in 1834.

3 The Globe theatre It was built in 1599 by Shakespeare’s playing company. A modern reconstruction of the Globe, named ‘’ Shakespeare’s Globe’’, opened in 1997 approximately 750 feet ( 230 m ) from the site of the original theatre. In the summer you can see plays there. You can shout during a performance just like in Shakespeare’s time! Take an umbrella – there’s no roof!

4 Buckingham palace The Queen’s official London home is Buckingham palace it’s got 775 rooms. The Queen has about 50,000 guests a year to parties and events- but only you can enter with invitation! But you can see the Changing of the Guard.

5 Tate Modern Tate Modern is the world’s largest modern art gallery. It’s in old power station, it’s fantastic place to visit. It was built in There are 4 million people a year. There are exhibitions twice a week.

6 Royal Holloway Royal Holloway collage was found by the Victorian entrepreneur Thomas Holloway in 1879 on the mount Lee Estate in Egham. Holloway later increased his original sum of money to half of million, and today, the campus still best know for its original 600- bed building, know as the ‘’Founder’s building’’, designed by William Henry Crossland.
