What claims can you make that will aid in your argument? What appeals would you use in this scenario to get what you want?

Individually, write out your solution in your notebook. Each scenario requires a 1-paragraph response. What means would you use to get what you want in the scenario? What claims can you make that will aid in your argument? What appeals would you use and why? When you have finished your response, raise your hand. Your group will receive another scenario. You will need to respond to 2-3 scenarios in your notebook. This means that you will need to have at least 2-3 paragraphs in your notebook for today.

7 John F. Kennedy – Notes Watch the video and take notes in your notebook. What information is presented? Why is it important? Who was JFK? How did he rise to presidency? Why was his inaugural address significant? Notes: Served as the 35th president of the United States from 1961 until his death in 1963. Was in office during a time of particular civil and global unrest. At home, the Civil Rights Movement was in full swing. Overseas, America was locked in a cold war with the Soviet Union. He gave one of the most memorable speeches in United States history – the "ask not what your country can do for you" speech. This speech challenged people from across the country to get involved – to contribute – in some way. This video gives a brief background of JFK.
