3 Design a Logo Develop a logo for yourself –a picture or symbol that represents you and your beliefs It may be something as concrete as an animal or group of animals, or it may be an abstract image that symbolizes a feeling or concept. It should represent who you are and what you believe.

5 Think about the various aspects of life that are important to you

6 2. Take the 6 aspects and write them around your logo.
MAP YOUR GOALS 1. On a clean sheet of paper, redraw your logo or paste it in the center of the page. Allow enough space on all sides to write more information. 2. Take the 6 aspects and write them around your logo. Try to spread them out evenly and connect each aspect to your logo by drawing a straight line. 3. Think about what actions will help you address each aspect of life you wrote down Write down goals associated with those aspects of life and connect them with lines. Try to use a word or brief phrase to describe each goal

Pretend you are the hottest writer in the United States and you just got a job with a hip new magazine. Your first assignment is to write YOU! More than 4 million people will read this article It will be printed in 12 languages. Using the criteria you developed in the last activity, write an article detailing your goals as if they were already accomplished. The article may include things you are already doing, and plans for the future. You should include quotes and detailed descriptions of all the qualities you possess.

16 Begin at the beginning…
Does it have solid thesis? If it does, you do not need to leave a comment, or you can make a note telling them you like the thesis. Are the two/three examples reflected in the thesis? Can you find these reasons in the topic sentences? If it doesn’t, can you make a comment with a suggestion for a good thesis? If you can’t think of one, comment that they might consider adding one here. When instructed, move to next desk according to the plan we discussed.

Spelling- Check backward (spell it correctly if you can.) Move when instructed Capitalization-is it a name or beginning of sentence? Punctuation-Do they have complete sentences? Paragraphs Do they have paragraphs Thesis, Topic, Topic, Topic, Conclusion Do the topics link back to the thesis and conclusion?

Put your full heading on the rubric Based on the rubric provided, give yourself a grade. Turn in to me

23 You have already answered “What do I want?”
Revisiting Goals You have already answered “What do I want?” Now you need to ask, “ Why do I want it?” In your packet, list the 10 words you consider to be more important. Now compare them to what you have written on your logo/ map. Are there connections btw the words you selected and what you have written? Are there contradictions? If so, why? Make any necessary changes to your logo/map.
