1 From: Error Correction and Quantitative Subanalysis of Optical Coherence Tomography Data Using Computer-Assisted Grading Invest. Ophthalmol. Vis. Sci ;48(2): doi: /iovs Figure Legend: OCT scan from a patient with a full-thickness macular hole. (A) Automated retinal boundary detection by the StratusOCT version 4.0 software interpolates the inner retinal surface across the discontinuity (arrow), and the resultant retinal thickness map (B) does not demonstrate the retinal hole. After manual placement of boundaries for the retina and subretinal space with the computer-assisted software (C), the resultant retinal height map demonstrates the macular hole (D). In this way, the subretinal fluid under the edge of the hole (E) can be measured independently from the parafoveal “cuff” of retinal edema (D, ).
