MEANING + USE George’s party was fun.
NBA’s rules are only used in the USA. The cat’s paw was badly cut. England’s mountains are not very high. We use the Saxon Genitive to say that SOMETHING : Belongs or is a characteristic of a person, a group or organisation made up of people, an animal or a country.

The girl’s pen. 3. The bag of Juan. Juan’s bag.
