2 Two kinds of respect: A feeling of admiration for someone or something that is good, valuable, important, etc.: HOW YOU FEEL A feeling that someone or something is important, serious, etc. and should be treated in an appropriate way: HOW YOU BEHAVE OR ACT Resiliency Ownership Achievement Respect

3 SO ???? We are not going to tell you who you should admire or have respect for. Those are your feelings and you are in charge of those. We ARE going to tell you who and what you should treat with respect no matter what, and what that respect looks like. Resiliency Ownership Achievement Respect

What is self respect? Self-love, self-esteem, self acceptance “Treat yourself like your best friend” Be positive! What is respect for your classmates? What is respecting differences? Tolerance and understanding Examine your own biases (things you might think about someone before you know him or her) Physical appearance, social class, gender, disability, race, sexual orientation, religion, what you might have heard about them… In a perfect world, how should someone who is different for any of these reasons be treated? The golden rule for property is to treat it as if it belonged to you and was somehow precious. Ask before you take or borrow property.
