of the photo it says: Taken on our Golden Wedding Day Sep

And Louisa Lewington who were Married 21 September 1878 in Cholsey

5 This has the wrong date written on it – he died in
1934. It shows that Louisa did not attend her husband’s funeral due to illness. It also shows that all of George and Louisa’s surviving children attended.

6 Funeral costs for George Tubb - £8 for
the funeral (including a car) and 30 shillings for a headstone. Sadly the headstone is no longer there.

7 Louisa (George Tubb’s wife)was Baptised
in 1861 but did not take Confirmation until 1917

8 I think this is Frederick Tubb’s four
youngest sisters – Lily, Violet, Edith and Ivy Louisa Tubb with one of her daughters – I think Violet.

On the back of the picture is written Your loving sister – Sis. July The King family all seemed to refer to Annie as Sis. Annie Tubb – no date, but the houses in the background look like Heath Road or Southend Road. She is also stood in front of a massive bonfire!

13 Seaside outing – the lady back left is
Louisa Tompkins – sister of Annie – and the gentleman is very likely her husband George Tompkins. With Annie and William Tubb Frederick and Annie Tubb with Lily outside Leyfields where he worked for 9 years. Picture c1918.

Annie Tubb (2nd left) at Leyfields. I think the lady on the left is Mary King (Annie’s mother) and that the other lady is her sister Alice King with her children.

of employment during WWI Document confirming Frederick Tubb was entitled to an Army Pension due to Malaria caused by his service as a soldier during WWI

An envelope addressed to Annie Tubb in September The letter is postmarked Ipswich and so very likely from Frederick sister Lily M Howell who lived in Ipswich after marriage.

Reference letter for Frederick Tubb written on 5 November 1912 by C. Anderson, Gardener to John Womald of Springs, North Stoke. On the 1911 census Anderson was listed as a Farm Bailiff.

on May 30th The letter is written by Lucy M Norton who was the wife of Arthur T Norton a retired Consulting Surgeon. Frederick Tubb worked at Leyfields from 1913 until 1922.
