Daily variations of IOP in saline- or HA-injected eyes. Injections were performed every week for 5 weeks. Within 3 days of the last injection, IOP was assessed at 4-hour intervals along the light–dark cycle in both experimental groups. Significant variations of IOP were observed in both groups (P < 0.001, ANOVA). In HA- and saline-injected eyes, IOP at 24 and 4 hours were significantly higher than those obtained at the remaining intervals. At all intervals examined, the IOP in HA-injected eyes was significantly higher than that in vehicle-injected eyes (P < 0.01, Student’s t-test). Data are mean ± SEM (n = 10 eyes/group). *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, by the Tukey test.
