With new immigrants, the culture and daily life of many colonists changed.
America’s identity was and continues to be shaped by their contributions, way of life and traditions.
Immigration allowed many individuals to start a new life.
Immigration allowed colonies to grow and prosper economically.
New conflicts also rose between immigrant groups, especially in urban areas as colonies grew.
