9. Active RFID in the supply chain
Identifier Tags are attached to inventory items and all relevant data on the stock is stored on a microchip.
Active tags emit a UHF radio signal when an interrogator signal is detected. Data is sent to readers via a built in transponder.
Readers are placed at different stages along the supply chain and transmit data to a central server
