1 Student Government… What does it do?
The student government serves as the primary voice of the students here at UT. Modeled after the Federal government, three branches exist: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. The student body elects members in the Executive and Legislative branches every year, while Justices are appointed to three year terms. The work of the Senate is carried out through a system of committees focusing on areas important to the students of the University. The Executive Branch utilizes its Cabinet to carry out the platform of the administration currently in office and to enact the legislation authored by the Senate. The Judicial Branch hears all questions arising from the Student Government Constitution.

2 What has it accomplished?
