2. Directions:
You may use your Character Worksheet and reading guides/notes to help you with this.
1. Listen to the character quote read aloud.
2. If that is your character, go to the “hot seat” and read the quote again.
3. Students in the audience will then ask you questions, and you will answer the questions in the manner that YOUR CHARACTER would respond-you are “in role” at this point.
4. Students will then respond (on the white board) to the question, “Who said it?” We’ll discuss/support correct answers.
5. We may increase the difficulty level (because you all are SO good): Students in the audience will ask questions AS THEIR CHARACTER (“in role”), not as themselves.
6. Remember: The student in the “hot seat” is ALWAYS “in role.” Answer as your character, not yourself.
