3 History of HKN Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) was founded at the University of Illinois, Urbana- Champaign in by Maurice Carr There are now about 200 chapters at universities across the U.S. and we are currently expanding into Canada There are about 300,000 members Recently merged with IEEE

Eric Schmidt, CEO Google Amar Bose, inventor of the Bose Speaker Sabeer Bhatia, founder of Hotmail David Filo, founder of Yahoo! Construct and Solder the HKN Bridge Demonstration of Quality, Perseverance, and Courage Must obtain 15 signatures from HKN faculty or officers Volunteer Demonstration of Leadership and Character Must serve at least 5 hours towards a volunteer opportunity that must be signed off Resume Demonstrate your qualities and experience Compiled for recruiters and taken to national events

Forms Member Information Form Bridge Signature Form IEEE Registration Form (non-members) Dues $100 one time due (for HKN new change) Must stay up to date with IEEE membership after the first year
