Warmer weather & longer daylight hours often mean increased exposure to noise & dust through open windows & an increased use of gardens
Summer also sees a big rise in the numbers of walkers, caravans, horse riders & cyclists using local routes
What can we do?
Regularly check that site accesses are secured
Ensure traffic management plan accounts for local road speeds & potential local risks, e.g. horse riders or cycle routes
Have noise letters been issued with details of key noise/dusty activity times?
Brief all staff as to how to effectively respond to complaints received at site
Place fire extinguishers along the worksite where hot works are planned to reduce lineside fire risks
