2. “He also chose David His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;
From the care of the ewes with suckling lambs He brought him, to shepherd Jacob His people and Israel His inheritance.
So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them with his skillful hands.”

3. Being Called By God To neglect either calling is tragic!
“And He chose David His servant…”
There are two types of calling by God:
First, God calls us to Himself…
then He calls us to His purpose.
To neglect either calling is tragic!

4. Calling is God’s personal invitation for me to work on His agenda.
“Can you hear Me now?”
Calling is God’s personal invitation for me to work on His agenda.
Calling is not getting in touch with ourselves (it’s letting God touch you)
Calling is not reserved for a select few (it’s for any who seek Him)
Calling is not being about our personal agenda (it’s an invitation to be about His agenda that involves your personal life)

5. Being Called…to Serve
“He chose David His servant and took him from the sheepfolds; from the care of the ewes with suckling lambs He brought him, to shepherd Jacob His people and Israel His inheritance.”
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son…” Romans 8:28-9
“For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid among his fathers.” Acts 13:36

6. Being Called to Serve… With Integrity
“So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart…”
Integrity is the idea of wholeness and authenticity….what is inside is what is seen outside.
The work that He is doing in your heart shows up in the work that He is calling you to be part of.

7. Being Called to Serve with Integrity... and Skill
“So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them with his skillful hands.”
Where do skills come from?
Why did God give you these skills, talents, and abilities?
Could it be that your skills are an indicator to what God is calling you to be part of?

8. Calling is God’s personal invitation for me to work on His agenda
Can you hear Me now?
Calling is God’s personal invitation for me to work on His agenda
using the talents, gifts, and abilities that I have been given from Him
in ways that are eternally significant and strategic in serving others.
