1 CTA Independence Science Camp
Prescott Pines, Prescott, AZ October 23 – 25, 2017 Dr. Hendricsen, Mrs. Babcock, Mr. Martin, and Mrs. Young

2 Prescott Pines 85 acres adjacent to the Prescott National Forest
Approximately 6,100 feet altitude Outdoor education facilities for over 10 years Licensed by Yavapai County to operate as a camp facility Member of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce

3 Dates Monday, October 23, 2017 – Wednesday October 25th, 2017
Busses will depart on Monday at 9:00 am Busses will return by 3:10 pm dismissal on Wednesday

4 Classes Sample Menu of Classes: Bean Peak Hike Engineering Archery
Heat Transfer Trebuchet Speed line Orienteering ** 6th grade teachers will decide on classes as they fit into our curriculum

5 Facilitated Fun Campfire (yes, this includes s’mores!) Dodgeball
Hay Ride Chair Games

6 Lodging 2 nights Bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, and extra blanket 5 - 6 students and 1 chaperone per room Separate cabin for boys / girls

7 Linens and Clothes Bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, extra blanket, and towels. Students need to dress warm! Jeans Long sleeves T-shirts Lightweight jacket Tennis shoes Flip flops for shower purposes only

8 Meals Students need a sack lunch for Monday Six meals included
All-you-can-eat buffet style Two additional snacks will be provided: juice and a granola bar. Day 1: students bring a lunch, dinner at camp Day 2: breakfast, lunch, and dinner at camp Day 3: breakfast and lunch at camp

9 Hungry Bear Cafe Snack bar for stadium style treats
Items vary in price from $0.25 to $3.00 Students need cash if they want to make a purchase Not required

10 Gift Shop Gift shop on the premises
Students will be given time to shop Students will need to bring their own money Not required

11 Electronics Students are not allowed to bring anything that requires a plug Cell phones ARE NOT allowed on the premises Student access to camp phone - if necessary Camp phone number for parents - in case of an emergency

12 Chaperones 1 chaperone per 5-6 students (1 male: 5 male students)
Good role model, not a friend Required to stay with students at all times 6 female chaperones, 7 male chaperones, & 1 nurse Waiting list for chaperones Fingerprinting: Gail Rafferty (480)

13 Student Cost Tax Credit Donation will cover everything!
$75 covers science camp ($65), pool party ($10), and 17 – 18 club fees! If you have not yet made your Tax Credit Donation, please plan to do so soon to fund this once in a lifetime trip!

14 Chaperone Cost Fee per chaperone - $105 (paid by chaperone)
The $105 covers: Transportation Lodging Food Activities (3 days / 2 nights) Memories to last a lifetime!

15 Behavior Contract Effective September 1 Loss of Camp Immediate pick up
