2 Importance of Knowing Campus Recourses
Smart Students Take Full Advantage of Campus Resources Most colleges provide comprehensive resources for preparing students for a career, for learning effective writing and study skills, for health, physical, emotional and mental and for student activities. Beside service for daily life, Usc provide comprehensive support for student's learning, career preparation, physical emotional and mental health, and other students activities.

3 Learn about your campus resources now!
Students could be more success by taking advantage of all resources No real world company can or will provide you with assistance in getting through a tough project, nor will you find health care, career networking or any of the other programs provided at colleges Learn about your campus resources now! College is becoming complicated and competitive today. using campus resources will help you achieve educational goals effectively.

4 The Advising Office Many colleges and universities have different models for advising. Most assign each student an academic advisor. Your student’s advisor may be a faculty member, or it may be a professional advisor. It will be an important resource if your student has an issue with her advisor or needs help that the advisor cannot provide. Probation & Retention Advising Academic Advisor Offices Various for each school (pay attention to your from advisors) Admission Office There are many reasons that student should visit advising office or reach out to their academic advisor. Advisors will help students with class registration, collaborate to graduate, academic and future plan, connect to campus, they even solve problems between students and professors. USC has professional probation and retention advising services, Admission office also will help students with many school related issues. Academic advising office for each school can provide more specific help within certain majors.

5 The Tutoring or Writing Center
Tutoring is not only used by students who are struggling or in danger of failing, writing and tutoring centers on most campuses are abuzz with the most motivated and high achieving students. You may want to find academic help early, before he is in difficulty. Tutor Campus Center Writing Center Writing Advisor for Each Schools – contact academic advisors Math Center Review Session – Announced by professors/TA TA/Professor’s Office Hour – Check Syllabus/contact professors Discussion Session – in-person/online TA or professor’s office hour is really important one-on-one teaching time beside lectures. But Sometime, they are too busy to take care of every students. Use the tutoring services as early as possible is helpful to maintain high GPA.

6 Other Support Centers In addition to the traditional tutoring or writing center, many colleges offer other types of academic support. Some offer a dedicated math lab or tutoring center, a speaking center for oral presentations, computer labs with trained assistants, peer tutors, peer mentors, or peer advisors etc. Security is always the top issue for campus life. 7 Campus Diversity Support Centers & Spiritual Life Office
There are plenty student service departments work for improving campus diversity. Student may need some spiritual support at some point during college to fulfill their sense of belonging needs. LGBT Resources Center Veterans Resource Center Asian Pacific American Student Services Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs El Centro Chicano Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Development Office of International Services Office of Religious Life Office of Equity and Diversity Campus diversity is top issue. There are many departments work hard on students life quality. Especially for fist year and first generation students, or students from minority group. far away from home and feel lonely may affect their academic performance. USC has more than ten campus diversity support departments aim to create equal, harmony, and friendly campus environments.

8 The Academic Material & Social Resources
Library resources provide students almost all academic material they need for classes. Social network is becoming more important today, so do not miss out alumni and network resources from school. Library for Other Schools Library Websites USC News USC Sports USC Alumni Library resources provide students almost all academic material they need for classes. there is no other place can provide such comprehensive and free academic material like college. There are 16 libraries at USC campus. Check out the libraries website and find the book you need! USC is also famous by its broad social network. Use USC as media to reach out helpful mentors or sponsors, and build up personal network is very helpful for post-graduation development.

9 The Health Center & Gym Resources
Student should know where the health center is, the center hours, the policies for making appointments, services available, and the process for emergency help if the center is not open 24 hours. Student Health Center Engemann Eric Cohen Mindful USC Sexual Assault Resource Center Recreation Sports Being save and healthy is the first goal for being college students. Student need to know where they should go for emergency or any health issues. Understanding the benefit and limitation of students’ health insurance can save more money. Check out health center’s website and learn about their service today, don’t wait until the sickness affect the grades.

10 Campus Counseling Center & DSP Resources
Many college students also enter college with pre-existing psychological issues. Many campus counseling centers have reported increased use in the past few years. DSP Disability Services and Programs Counseling Center Beside physical health related service, USC health center also provide counseling service for students in need. Also, many students enter college with pre-existing psychological issues. Register with Disability Services and Program can offer extra support. Accessing with DSP or counseling center is long process, reach out to them as early as possible will make sure they can offer the service in time.

11 Post-Graduation & Alumni Benefits
Take benefit to be a Trojan! Many services and benefits are still available after you graduated. USC Alumni Associate Campus resources are not only for current students. Don’t be nervous if you are graduating or already left school. USC provide comprehensive services for Trojan Alumni,, including post-graduation coaching, career counseling, housing, car rental, alumni , and many social activities.
