1 China Trip Visa Meeting

2 Students that are applying for the visas through school, deadline for the paperwork to be returned to me is 24th March If you miss this deadline, then you will be expected to sort you visa out yourselves.

3 Students that are doing the visas by themselves you will need to start the process around May 2017 time. Please check the Chinese Embassy for more information and instructions.

4 Length of Stay Nine days You are all going as tourists Your parents have paid for the trip not the school July 2017 will be the dates that you will be in China

5 Addresses Yong’an Hotel 5-A, Nongzhanguan North Road Chaoyang Disrict Beijing Tel – Dates that we will be staying there: 18th – 21st July, 24th-26th July

6 Addresses Wan Nian Hotel No.93 Changle Zhong Road Xian Tel Dates we will be staying there: 22nd-23rd July

7 Photo Requirements You have all been given information sheets on the photo requirements for the China visa. You must provide one colour, passport type photograph that meets the following strict criteria: - be taken within the last three months against a white background and printed on high quality photo paper – please make sure it is a proper passport photo - be 35mm by 45mm in size - provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centred in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression - provide a clear view of upper shoulders - you should wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes. - you should not wear any jewellery including earrings and necklaces regardless of size (ears have to be visible so hair must be either tied up or put behind the ears) - you should put your name on the back of the photo.

8 Vaccinations for the China Trip
Please book an appointment with your doctor 8 weeks before we travel to see if you need to get any vaccinations. The normal vaccinations required are as follows:

9 Vaccinations Recommended Vaccinations Hepatitis A
Although infection rates for hepatitis A have declined significantly in China over the past decade, the illness continues to pose a threat to tourists and locals alike. It is particularly prominent in western parts of the country. All travellers going to China are advised to get vaccinated for hep A. It is also important to practise good hygiene and take care to avoid potentially contaminated water and foods.
