1 Volunteering This is all about making a difference to other people's lives.  From conservation to youth work to fundraising for your favourite charity or caring for animals, there's an endless list of the types of projects your child can get involved in. They need to have someone to complete an Assessor report (this cannot be a member of the family or a friend of theirs)

2 Physical Your child doesn't need to be star athlete or the fittest person in the world to complete their Physical section.  As long as they have fun, get better and fitter, then they have done it!  From playing for a local sports club to weekly dance classes, from free running to yoga, almost any dance, sport or fitness activity can count.

3 Skills From podcasting to painting, from DJing to driving, from music to making kites… - whatever skill they choose can allow them to develop new talents or perfect existing ones.  Follow a passion or discover a new one; the choice is theirs.  Once they’ve chosen a skill they’ll need to decide how long they’re going to do it for and set some objectives and again get someone to assess them.

4 Residential (Gold Award only)
This is the only section we cannot offer It involves 4 nights and 5 days away in a residential setting, with a maximum of 3 people they may know NCS is a very good and cheap option (£50.00 for 3 weeks) We would recommend this They book up quickly for the summer Based in Doncaster and go to various centres for the Activity Week

5 Expedition Section Achieving their Award is an adventure from beginning to end and this section can give them some of their most memorable experiences!  “…We depended solely on everyone working as one.  We had very low points, but when we had highs, they were exceptionally high…I still keep in touch with my team…  this has to be one of the best things I have done…”  - Tim, Gold Award holder

6 Expedition Section The young people will need to organise themselves into teams of between four and seven to form an expedition team   The team will then plan an aim for the expedition and decide on the route they will follow Each candidate will go through a training programme to make sure they are fully prepared and know what they’re doing!   A leader will work with a team to organise all of this and help them plan their expedition.  Once the preparation is complete the fun starts! They will go out and do a training weekend, practice and a qualifying expedition.

7 Expedition Section Extra things to take on board:
All the leaders that go out and help and assess are qualified and experienced and CRB cleared Each group is satellite tracked – this gives us the knowledge where they are every 10 minutes of the day You do not need to spend a lot of money on equipment, we can supply most of it
