You are going to watch an episode of Anthony Bourdain’s TV show Parts Unknown on CNN He visited the city of Detroit, his guide was Charlie LeDuff- a Detroit Journalist who has been chronicling (writing down) the situation in Detroit (You’ll be reading him next class) Use the document to chronicle what you are seeing and thinking You’re trying to chronicle the major issues being presented You’ll write down what you are observing, questions you may have, and your thoughts in general You’ll finish writing a summary of what you have learned based on the video and discussion Parts Unknown- Detroit More Visual Representation of Detroit- Anthony Bourdain

After looking at several photographs and watching the episode on Detroit… We are now turning our attention to reading about Detroit We will be using chapters of the Book- Detroit: An American Autopsy by Charlie Leduff In his prologue- he sets us up for what his investigations will try and reveal and uncover about the situation in Detroit Charlie LeDuff-Prologue
