6. Flag Program 2016 Quick Facts
It’s free so why not participate?
It’s the 2nd annual Advanced Disposal Flag Program
The program runs June 1 – September 11
Flags are retired according to the United States Flag Code
All Advanced Disposal locations are participating
For all service areas including commercial and residential
Over 2,500 flags were collected last year
Nylon flags can be recycled in to new American flags
This program both retires and recycles flags

7. Flag Code Quiz
The flag should not be bunched up. It should be folded properly according to the US Flag Code.
The flag should not be used for advertising purposes.
The flag should not be worn as clothing.
It should never be stepped on or touch the ground.
The flag should be retired in a dignified manner, preferably burning.
