Elvis was famous because he was a singer/actor. One day he walked into a recording studio and payed $4 to record a two song demo and the guy liked what he heard so he signed him.

3 Three accomplishments of Elvis
It is estimated that more than one billion Elvis Presley records have been sold worldwide. Though he never performed out of the country and only recorded a few songs in different language but that never stopped anyone from buying them. Elvis received 14 Grammy nominations from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS). His three wins were for gospel recordings - the album "How Great Thou Art" (1967), the album "He Touched Me" (1972) on the RCA Victor label and his live Memphis concert recording of the song "How Great Thou Art" (1974).   The United States Junior Chamber of Commerce (the Jaycees) named Elvis One of the Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Nation for 1970 in a ceremony on January 16, 1971, one of Elvis’ proudest moments. This award has been given since 1938 and has honored men of achievement in all areas of endeavor - sports, government, science, medicine, entertainment, etc

5 A few facts about Elvis personal life
He was born on January 8th in 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi He got drafted into the military and was sent to Germany where he met the woman he married and her name was Priscilla, they got married in 1967 and divorced in 1973. Before they divorced they had a child a girl whose names was Lisa Marie Presley. Elvis died in 1977 on August 16th in Memphis Tennessee from cardiovascular disease. He also had numerous amounts of prescription drugs in his body at his time of death.

6 My opinion on Elvis I think Elvis was pretty cool and he had great music and was very successful if I was alive in his time I would’ve definitely been a huge fan of him. I honestly think since he was so successful he should of thought differently about taking all of those prescription drug and being addicted to them. But that’s just me.
