13 Key message: Make sure you’re keeping conversations open with your child when they’re online. You need to engage yourselves in your child’s online lives (like you do in their offline activities). This will mean the children will be more open to coming to you if something does bother them online. It can be something very small, such as asking your child what game they’re playing, and engaging yourselves in it, rather than shying away and being scared of the technology.
