Place all dry stamps on trays on back table.

What shapes are repeated?
Where do you see a variety? Of what? How is variety created?

4. Trace at least 5 shapes on ppt with iPad:

5. Steps and Tips for Rolling a Slab
1. Wedge the clay.
2. (throw it sideways) flatten clay.
3. Roll 3 times softly.
4. Flip it over to dry spot.
5. Repeat until desired thickness. (1/4-1/2)

2. Flatten clay (throw at angle) – press flat
3. Roll lightly, 3-4 times, only forward.
4.Flip it to a new spot.
5. Repeat until desired thickness. (1/4- 1/2inch)

15. Hanging Slab Sculpture Criteria:
1. 5 or more pieces
2. At least one geometric shape
3. At least one organic shape
4. Joined and stays together.
5. Has shapes repeated and a variety of sizes.
6. Hangs on a wall (maybe has a function)
7. Glazed and fired.
Objective: You will list and define geometric and organic shapes in order to apply them to a slab sculpture.

IF YOUR PINCH POT POD IS NOT FIRED, PLACE IT ON TRAY, TOO.
Main goal today- FINISH STAMPS
WHEN DONE- TAKE STAMPS OUT OF BAG TO DRY.

17. How to clean up and store clay:
My Table-
Scrape table with tool
Place dried clay in bin
Put extra clay away
Put tools back in the correct spot (organized),
Wash with wet sponge
Dry with newspaper, then towel (not good towels).
*Always close the clay bag up or the clay will dry out!!!

18. How to Store clay: My Clay piece- Put on cardboard base
Wrap in damp newspaper
Cover in grocery bag completely.
Put tape on the bag with your name on it.
Store in designated spot.
