3 Introduction Presenters
James Coyle, Co-Founder & President, Event 1 Software Michael Newland, Co-Founder & Vice Present Product Management, Event 1 Software This presentation will be available on Sage Summit Virtual Totebag Follow Sage on Use the official hashtag: #SageSummit Recommended Slide A good introduction piques interest, sets expectations, and answers the question, “What’s in it for me?” Use this slide if you have particular issue(s) you need to cover about your session such as introducing guest speakers or roundtable participants, reminding participants of prerequisites or advanced content, explaining how you want to handle questions, and so on. Alternately, you can use your Title slide or Learning Objectives slide for this purpose (and delete this Introduction slide). You can change the title from “Introduction” to something that better suits your slide content or delete this slide altogether. Remember sessions are short in length so introductions should be brief and cover only information pertinent to the presentation. Example: For a session about Crystal Report® design, it might be relevant to describe presenters’ consulting experience, but their Microsoft® Certification is probably not relevant. Please add your Twitter hashtag

4 Session Approach Simulated Customer Report Request
Process for Discovery and Scope Development Hands-On Activities Developing the Scope Of Work / Specifications Constructing a Report

5 Customer Request “Attached is an example of a report that we need to produce on a monthly basis for each of our divisions. The report is initially provided to the division manager who will note anticipated changes by marking up their copy and sending it back to accounting. That number gets entered and then the report is reprinted and delivered to our executive team. This provides our team with a summary of the jobs in progress and their expected profitability. We’ve been producing this report for many years out of our old system but as we migrate to Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate, we’re hoping to do more with this. For example, we find that when the report is circulated among our executive team, they will often write comments on the report and we’d like to retain those comments (somehow) because sometimes there are issues or questions that may linger for a while and we don’t want to lose track of them. We’re thinking that with the technology that is available we should be able to streamline the whole process. Please let us know what this would cost.”
