1. Did it really happen? V24-26a
For Thomas, their words weren’t good enough, he needed to see with his own eyes.
The main reason for his doubt was his absence!
Sunday is the Lord’s day and we shouldn’t miss the blessing of Jesus’ presence and saints gathered.

2. Try me! V26b-28
Jesus went to the heart of the doubt and said ‘try me!’
Thomas didn’t believe and then see, Jesus revealed himself and then Thomas believed.
The confession had both the truth of Jesus and personal grace. v28

3. Believe and live. v29-31
Jesus has us in mind with his blessing of v29.
Ours is the same faith in the resurrection as Thomas.
The words of scripture are sufficient for the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus.
