A major turning point in history occurred as people of the world gave up nomadic existence and settled in geographically advanced areas to create the basis of the world’s first civilized societies.
The development of city-states led to well defined social economic and political institutions.
The civilizations of the ancient world have legacy contributions which still affect the modern world today.
