Includes Web Content Management with out of the box Internet and Intranet sites
More robust instant messaging and awareness (with inclusion of Lotus Sametime not Java based IM)
Improved APIs and development tools including WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer
Improved robustness and quality with iFixes in sync with latest portal release (eg …)
Beta for 6.1 now available so you can work with latest portal release
Failover capability available with optional purchase of Portal Express Idle Standby Server

Our primary objective is to move end users to destination products while minimizing disruption to their environment
We will provide migration tools and documentation to help our customers (and business partners) make the transition and will continue to provide support for current products during the transition period
Customers who are current on Software Maintenance for IBM Workplace Services Express will receive their next Software Maintenance renewal quotes for the following replacement products
Customers with 20 user packs of WebSphere Portal Express will receive a 20 user pack of WebSphere Portal Express and 20 user licenses of Lotus Quickr
Customers with 100 Processor Value Unit Licenses of Workplace Services Express will receive 100 Processor Value Licenses of WebSphere Portal Express and 100 Processor Value Units of Lotus Quickr Extranet Licenses
