22 Current Joint Powers Agreement
Amended and Restated Agreement signed in 1998 Outdated County programs have matured Shift from regional to County accountability SCORE funding directly to Counties (2016) A re-write is needed

23 Current Joint Powers Agreement: Withdrawal
Article X, Section 1: Withdrawal: a) No withdrawal shall be effective until January 1 of the next calendar year following the year in which notice of withdrawal was provided b) Written notice of withdrawal shall be provided to the Board no later than June 30 in the year prior to the effective date of withdrawal Article X, Section 2: Effect of Withdrawal: Withdrawal by any County shall not terminate this Agreement.

24 Current Joint Powers Agreement: Amendments
Article XI, Section 1 Amendments: This Agreement may be amended only in writing and upon the consent of each of the Boards of Commissioners of the Counties.

25 Current Joint Powers Agreement: Termination
Article X, Section 3 Termination: This Agreement shall terminate upon the occurrence of any one of the following events A. When necessitated by operation of law or as a result of a decision by a court of competent jurisdiction B. When a majority of the Counties agree, by resolution, to terminate the Agreement upon a date certain.
