Each Universal PI should be linked with at least one strategic goal

6. Unit-Specific Performance Indicators--add where necessary
Effective measurement of unit goals may require use of PIs not included in the LSU universal list.

7. Criteria for Review of Academic Year
A narrative (not list) looking back to previous year’s “planning priorities”—:
Discuss major accomplishments
Interpret status of goals in light of Performance Indicators
Discuss major challenges and describe plans for addressing them
State overall status or “well-being” of department

8. Criteria for Priority Planning Document
Should address goal-driven priority activities for coming year
Identify resource allocations (or reallocations) for accomplishing priority activities
