883 free schools that the DfE expects to have opened by September 2020

Energy consumption schools staying open longer – more community use – thus more energy use
Compliance statutory testing of buildings to ensure safety
Maintenance high reactive maintenance costs of old school buildings
Sustainability leaving a legacy of ‘fit for purpose’ buildings for future generations
