The oldest part of it was built in the 8th century. The construction of the Abbey was finished in Since that time it is a place for royal coronation.

4 The Abbey is the burial place for a lot of great people – kings, queens, politicians, writers and artists. Charles Darwin, Sir Isaak Newton and David Livingstone are buried in the Abbey.
