1 In humans, dimpled cheeks are a dominant trait, with a genotype of DD or Dd. Non-dimpled cheeks are a recessive trait with a genotype of dd. Imagine Parent A is Heterozygous for dimpled checks and Parent B is homozygous for non-dimpled cheeks. What is the probability their offspring will have dimples? Show all four steps for the Punnett square process. Now imagine that you have dimpled cheeks, but you do NOT want your children to have dimples? Remember your genotype could be DD or Dd, what genetic pairing gives you the best chance of having children with no dimples. (Hint: You do not need to show all steps, but you will need to use at four Punnett squares to figure this out.) In humans, dimpled cheeks are a dominant trait, with a genotype of DD or Dd.
