2 What is SCAP? Site Cleanup Assistance Program
Started in 2006 to remediate Oklahoma National Guard armories and orphan sites Program Goal: to remediate armories and return to the local community for unlimited use

DEQ performs a Targeted Brownfield Assessment – includes soil and indoor firing range (IFR) lead sampling DEQ consultant provide inspection reports Lead contaminated dust (from IFR) Asbestos Lead-based paint

Remediation of lead contaminated dust Removal and backfill of contaminated soil Lead-based paint abatement Doors and windows (most costly)

Remove and dispose of sand in bullet trap area High levels of lead contaminated dust tracked and settled throughout armories IFR cleanup goal of below 200 ug/SF Armory cleanup goal of 40 ug/SF
