December CAPs are due February 1 CAP development rubric being updated and will appear on cims.cenmi.org Use TA Notes feature to record CAP work 6

7 Progress Reports Remember: All Progress Reports for December 2012 CAPs will be available on the CAP Menu Page. NEW: There is now space on the Progress Report form for OSE to comment and for the local to offer clarification. If a PR is returned, please remind a local to check the form for guidance. 7

9 Common Questions What about students who left the district?
Check the applicable box for the first question (left district, graduated, other). What about high school seniors who were tested in the spring, not the fall? Use testing data from spring tests. What about other high school students? If they did not take MME last spring, check “other” and write “no test for this grade” in the comment box. 9

11 Focused Monitoring—SLCAPs
157 SLCAPs were issued during Fall FM. All must be corrected by the local and verified by the ISD monitor no later than November 16. If an SLCAP will not be corrected and verified on time, please contact Mary Jo Gruber at ASAP. Status review: Local completes its work at the “In Progress” status and changes the SLCAP to “Submitted.” ISD monitor verifies, and changes the SLCAP status to “Complete.” The SLCAP is finished when it is at the “Complete” status.
