Standardisation –the regulators must work together with industry. This is not hampering the industy or business, it is allowing it to grow.
What is the wanted way? We need incentives and political will on a European level. Long-term regulations are crucial.
Digitilisation – potential make use of the existing network in a more efficient way. BUT could risk that it will increase transportation.
Hinterland transportation is also important!

Can be used to manage part of the expected road transport growth – rail transport cannot solve the whole increase
Production of electricity – this must also be solved in a wider perspective.

Cooperate with vehicle providers, logistics companies etc.

Efficient port/nodes access and operation:
Cooperation (intermodal transport routes) in the transport chain is key.
One-stop-shop – book a train or container for the full route. IT integration of different systems must be developed
Full-chain-service from Finland, via Sweden and Germany – in the long run to Italy (SWIFTLY Green)
Terminals could be more offensive to stimulate new transport systems and smooth transfer between modes
