ART + DESIGN SENIORS Deadline for senior studio applications November 6th, 2017 Senior Studio I: 92 credits needed to apply. Applications must include: >> Senior Studio Application >> Dig Form signed by you and your advisor >> Copy of PDF SIS advising report >> Separate applications needed for Studio Space! Senior Studio II: >> If you passed the 3 credits course with a C+ or higher grade, you don’t need to reapply. However you need to submit a final DIG form and Advisement Report signed by your advisor by November 6ht! >> You also need to resubmit a studio space application if you need a private studio >> All forms can be found at: >> All applications need to be submitted at: on or before the deadline! No exceptions!

20 Scholarships!! The Brenda Atwood Pinardi Endowed Scholarship Fund
Awarded twice each academic year, April and October. To rising senior students in the Fine Arts Discipline with a 3.0 GPA whose work reflects serious and exceptional aesthetic investigation that grows out of a painting discipline (may include painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking). If there is not senior who meets the criteria, an award may be given to a junior who meets the criteria. Brush Gallery and Studios Art Scholarship Priority for this scholarship is given to incoming and first-year Art majors. However, all Art majors are eligible to apply. The scholarship is an annual award of $1000 based on merit. The Richard Hegner Memorial Photography Scholarship At the end of the sophomore year, art students with an emphasis in photography are invited to apply for the scholarship by submitting an artist statement and portfolio. Students must have a financial need, which shall be determined by UMass Lowell's Financial Aid office. The William E. Peredina, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund This scholarship supports undergraduate Art students at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Scholarship recipient must be a declared major in one of the following art degree programs: a) Fine Arts concentration, b) Graphic Design concentration; declared majors in their freshman year; with a minimum GPA of B+ for consideration. Any Massachusetts resident student may be eligible. Friends of the Art and Design Department Endowed Scholarship Fund The Friends of the Art Department Endowed Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to full-time undergraduate students pursuing a degree in the Studio Art or Graphic Design at the University. Students must be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.

The UMass Lowell scholarship application website is now open.  You can complete your application at:  To be considered for scholarships you must meet ALL the following criteria: 1. Be a current Riverhawk in a degree seeking program (non-degree and certificate students are not eligible) 2. Be enrolled in at least 1 class for the current spring term 3. Scholarships will be awarded in the next academic year therefore you MUST be returning to UML for the upcoming Fall 2017 semester to receive consideration. The system is accepting applications from February 1, 2018 until March 31, 2018.  Don’t delay!

To find specific Art and Design scholarships, click on “Show Filters” and “Art and Design” You should then see the 5 scholarships that are specific for Art and Design students but you can of course apply for other scholarships as long as  you qualify.  In addition to your scholarship application, you need to submit a portfolio at  So make sure you do not wait till the last minute to apply!
