The year was The Titanic was a new, very large ship. People thought it was safe. But on April 15, 1912, the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank. More than 1,500 people lost their lives.

4 Be careful! Always use base form in negative sentences!
The Titanic had enough lifeboats. The Titanic didn’t have enough lifeboats. People knew about the icebergs. People didn’t know about the icebergs. The Captain left the ship. The Captain Edward John Smith ( ) __________ the ship.

She left home and gots married. In 1894, her husband finded gold and they became rich. Soon after, her husband left her, but Molly didn’t feel sad. She maked friends with rich and famous people in New York and Europe. She were with many of them on the Titanic. On that terrible day in 1912, Molly was a hero. She helped save many other passengers. Because of this, she become famous as “the unsinkable Molly Brown”.
