Possessive pronouns show that something belongs to someone or something. If the shoes belong to me, they are my shoes. They are mine. If the car belongs to you, it is your car. It is yours. If the books belong to her, they are her books. They are hers. If the pencil belongs to him, it is his pencil. It is his. If the leaf belongs to the plant, it is its leaf. If the food belongs to us, it is our food. It is ours. If the house belongs to them, it is their house. It is theirs.

A subjective (or subject) pronoun is used as the subject of a sentence. The subject is who the sentence is about They She We It He

7 ELACC6L1b. Use intensive pronouns
The job of the intensive pronoun is to emphasize the noun or pronoun of the sentence. For example: Bob did all of the chores himself. “HIMSELF” emphasizes that Bob did the chores (and no one else did them). The mayor himself attended the ceremony. (The mayor is the noun being intensified. It is the of the intensive pronoun.) She will do it herself. (The intensive pronoun herself emphasizes that she will do it. Her husband won't do it. Her son won't do it. SHE will do it.) The boys baked these cupcakes themselves. (The intensive pronoun themselves emphasizes that the boys baked the cupcakes not their mothers.) I heard the lie myself. (The intensive pronoun myself emphasizes that I heard the lie.) The dog opened the cupboard itself. What is the INTENSIVE PRONOUN?
