2 IDMP Background The Integrated Departmental Management Plan (IDMP) is an overarching program that: Consolidates departmental actions required in response to previous assessments, reviews and audits (including the Airport Parkway Pedestrian/Cycling Bridge) Aligns with and builds upon existing corporate and department priorities such as: Enhanced Risk Management Policy, Project Management Policy, Comprehensive Asset Management (CAM) Supports a culture within Infrastructure Services (IS) to consistently meet commitments (scope, budget, time and quality)

3 IDMP Vision By the end of 2018, Infrastructure Services will have increased public and senior management confidence in the Service's ability to deliver capital projects by enhancing project delivery practices that are executed in a consistent and measurable manner across all branches.

4 IDMP Structure The program is organized into three main releases (2015, 2016 and 2018), which will roll out increasing levels of sophistication to the tools, practices and capabilities of the department and its employees as it relates to project management and capital project delivery.

5 IDMP Progress To Date The 2015 Release included:
A seven-day Project Management training program for staff 170 staff have completed the training Vendor Performance Management (VPM) for all Capital projects Process and tool enhancements for issue management, schedule management and document filing Enhanced project management support The 2016 release included: New Project Charter and Change Control Process to improve scope definition and a consistent change control process for all Capital projects.

6 IDMP Future Release The 2018 Release will focus on:
A project and portfolio management (PPM) tool from Computer Associates (CA) to provide a common technology platform for project management within Infrastructure Services. Improvements to financial management practices, including changes to SAP financial system. Improved Stakeholder Management Strategy to be applied for all Capital projects and scalable based on project type and size.
