3 What is gravity? Gravity is a non-contact force of attraction. It is the force that attracts, or pulls, objects towards the centre of Earth. Everything in the universe has gravity.

4 Who discovered gravity?
According to legend, Sir Isaac Newton first thought about gravity when an apple fell on his head. His theories are still relevant nearly three centuries after his death. Newton was a renowned mathematician and physicist.

5 What are the two factors affecting the gravitational force between two objects?
The two factors affecting gravitational force are mass and distance. The bigger the mass of the object, the stronger the gravitational attraction. The shorter the distance between objects, the stronger the gravitational attraction.

6 Mass vs. Weight IT DOESN’T CHANGE WITH LOCATION!
mass on Earth = 80 kg Mass is the measure of the amount of matter in an object. Mass is measured in kilograms (kg). weight on Earth = 80 x 9.8 = 784 N mass on the Moon = 80 kg IT DOESN’T CHANGE WITH LOCATION! weight on the Moon = 80 x 1.6 = 128 N Weight of an object is defined as the force of gravity on the object. Its unit of measurement is newtons (N). IT CHANGES WITH LOCATION! Because the pull of gravity is different at different places.
