4 Red Delicious Red Delicious created in The fruits are large oblong to rounded cone with well formed ribs, light yellow with a dark red blush to carmine red. It ripens in the second half of September. The flesh is yellowish, slightly crispy, thick, tender, juicy, pleasantly sour, aromatic, with very good taste..

5 Tsar Alexander Tsar Alexander is an old Bulgarian variety. Grown in Bulgaria before the Liberation, it was first shown in a horticultural exhibition in Kyustendil in 1896 The fruit is very large, broadly rounded, conical, greenish interrupted with carmine stripes on the sunny side, with good taste. Ripens in September. The flesh is white, juicy, with a sour taste of wine. The tree is vigorous with broad ,rounded to spherical crown. The fruit and leaves are moderately resistant to scab. Used most often for direct consumption and for juice.

6 Karastoyanka   A Bulgarian variety. The fruit is medium large, flat and rounded, red, sweet, slightly acidic, with good quality. The fruit ripens in late September and early October. The skin is thick, smooth, shiny, yellow-green, with a dark red blush and longish stripes, with gray and white dots and waxy by touch. The texture is white, with red threads under the skin and around the heart, thick, tender, juicy, sweet, sour, slightly aromatic, with good quality.

7 Aivania Aivania is a Bulgarian winter apple.
Also known in three types- Stanimashki, Kyustendil and Novoselska Aivania. Ripens in late September. The fruit is medium large, conical, yellow, red on the sunny side, durable, sensitive to scab. The flesh is white, sweet and sour. The trees are low-stemmed, quickly growing, fruitful and with long life, suitable for warm lowland areas of the country.

8 Kyustendil White Kandile
Kyustendil white kandile is a Bulgarian apple variety characteristic of the town of Kyustendil. Vigorous tree with spherical crown and a long juvenile period, late flowering and irregular but abundant fruiting. The fruit is medium large, round conical or flat, pale green with pinkish- carmine to carmine color, with a thick, rough, coarse, waxy skin by touch. Ripens in October and could be stored till May. The flesh is white, soft, spongy, insufficiently juicy, sweet, almost odorless, with mediocre taste.

9 Petrovka Petrovka is an apple variety with small, green and red fruits, with a specific aroma and sweet-sour taste. The name "Petrovka" is explained by the fact that this variety ripens earlier in the summer and is served typically for St. Peter's day. (29 June).

10 Mutsu The tree is vigorous. The crown at a young age is egg-shaped and thick. Fruits acquire maturity and is good for harvesting in the third ten days of September. They are very large with an average weight of 270g, Spherical, slightly asymmetric, ribs crossing the handle. The skin is medium thick, strong, smooth, yellowish in harvest maturity and lemon- coloured in consumptive ripeness, rarely with redness on the sun-lit side, slightly waxy. The flesh is yellowish-white, not thick, tender, juicy, slightly acidic, moderately aromatic with very good quality.
