Partition coefficients (Greek small letter lambda) of halothane, isoflurane, sevoflurane, and desflurane in saline and Tyrode's solution. Regression lines were calculated using the parameters presented in Table 2. (A) Partition coefficients (Table 1) in 0.9% NaCl at 4 [degree sign]C, 22 [degree sign]C, and 37 [degree sign]C ([black diamond]: halothane;[black square]: isoflurane;[black triangle]: sevoflurane;[black circle]: desflurane). (B) Partition coefficients (Table 1) in Tyrode's solution at 4 [degree sign]C, 22 [degree sign]C, and 37 [degree sign]C ([black diamond]: halothane;[black square]: isoflurane;[black triangle]: sevoflurane;[black circle]: desflurane) and Tyrode's solution containing 0.1% fatty acid free BSA ([white square]: isoflurane).
