Denominational pulpits promote watered down views of our Father and our Lord

God is LOVE – 1 John 4:8,16
Willing to sacrifice His only begotten Son – John 3:16
Love while we wallowed in weakness – Romans 5:6-10

Another side to that love -
Deuteronomy 4:23-26
This is ONE and the SAME GOD!
God want everyone saved – 1 Timothy 2:1-6
Salvation offered to all men – Titus 2:11
What’s offered is not always accepted – Matthew 7:13,14

The OTHER side of God
2 Thessalonians 1:7-9
God is impartial – Genesis 12:1-3
To be done through a descendant of Abraham- Genesis 22:18
Fulfilled in Jesus – Galatians 3:14-16
Started with the lost sheep of the Israel- Matthew 10:6,7
Then to all nations – Matthew 28:19,20
Offered to all impartially-Ephesians 2:11-16

SO Everyone is saved, RIGHT?
WRONG!
Only those added by the Lord to the church- Acts 2:41,47
Ignorant & Disobedient will be lost- 2 Thessalonians 1:8,9
Impartiality doesn’t mean blanket acceptance.

In fact, Jesus was Intolerant
Of those who sinned or promoted sin – Matthew 16:6-8,11,12
What was wrong with their doctrine?
Hypocrites – Matthew 23:13-15, 23, 25, 27-32
Blind Fools–Matthew 23:16,17, 19, 24,26
Serpents & Vipers – Matthew 23:33
Wouldn’t see what other saw- Matthew 11:21-24
Put doctrine ahead of God – Matthew 15:3-9
Ignorant – Matthew 22:29

Jesus’ Followers Demonstrated Intolerance
Ephesians 5:11 – NO fellowship with sin
Large dissensions over doctrine – Acts 15:1
Wouldn’t put up with it – Galatians 2:4,5
False teacher named & doctrine exposed- 2 Timothy 2:16-18; Acts 7:51,52; Acts 13:10; Acts 20:29; James 4:4
TRUTH does not have equal weight with SIN – Christ and His followers do not tolerate that which opposes truth

Exclusionary – Jesus excluded people by His teachings – John 6:60-66
His words offended – when pointed out, He offended them further – Matthew 11:6
Refused to do miracles in His own home town – Matthew 13:55-58
Disciples shocked that He offended the Pharisees – Matthew 15:12-14
Such was prophesied of the Christ – Isaiah 8:14,15

10. The Bible Gives us a Fair, Balanced & Accurate View of God
Jesus’ Followers were just as exclusive
Their teaching rejected by Jews and Gentiles – 1 Corinthians 1:23-28
Paul not about to modify teaching to ease offense – Galatians 5:11,12
Faction will exist – 1 Corinthians 11:19
There is a distinction – 2 Corinthians 6:14-17

11. God is Love – God Shows Love
God’s Love is Conditional
God loves the Obedient – John 14:21
Jesus Saves those who Follow His Voice – John 10:27,28
Will YOU comply with HIS conditions?
