2 STRUGGLE… Nations had to struggle to prove their worth globally
They would have to dominate other countries ‘Survival of the fittest’

3 EIN REICH, EIN VOLK, EIN FUHRER
Ein reich – one nation Ein volk – one people Ein Fuhrer – one leader

4 WAR… War would prove Germany’s world worth
Despite their defeat in WWI, it was still a dominant nation Therefore it had to be prepared for war

5 TREATY OF VERSAILLES.. Hitler believed the Treaty needed to be destroyed It caused shame and humiliation He wanted to gain lost land, lebensraum and German expansion He believed it was the destiny of the Aryan people to expand east of Germany to gain the living space they deserved

6 A GREATER GERMANY.. A desire to unite all Aryan German speakers in an empire Anchluss with Austria (despite Treaty of Versailles)

7 ANTI-SEMITISM AND RACIAL SUPERIORITY..
The Nazi’s wanted a biologically pure race They wanted to prevent unfit people from having children Hitler wanted to isolate the ‘Jewish virus’ and eliminate minority groups

8 it was the ARYAN RACE…. The Nazi’s thought in terms of a hierarchy of races The Aryan was the master race The Negroes at the bottom Jews were not even in the hierarchy

9 VOLKSGEMEINSCHAFT.. Means ‘a people’s community’
Everything the Nazi’s do is for the good of the state rather than the individual A shared united community based on conformity Based on the nationalist ideals of fascism

10 ANTI-DEMOCRACY… Hitler felt democracy weakened a nation by the uneducated having a view or vote He wanted a nation to follow one strong leader and one party He also disliked communism because it lacked a hierarchy

11 FUHRERPRINZIP… Having one person to rule the nation
The presidency and Chancellor roles are combined This allowed Hitler to control his supporters and eliminate threats to his leadership He was known as a dictator

12 INTERNAL ENEMIES… Enemies had to be isolated from rest of nation
If you were not a Nazi or against them you were considered a threat, or an enemy of the state and the people
