Using 3D annotations in early development phases as first input to tolerance analysis
Dimensions and GD&T extracted from 3D to custom made tolerance analysis spread sheet
Only used during the development phase. All specifications will be documented in 2D Drawings
PE-Inspect extracts dimensions from 2D drawing to tolerance analysis sheet

4. Goals
Goals:
Save time – 2D drawings are not started when first tolerance stack up in done
When 3D design are modified 2D drafters are not informed immediately and therefor 2D drawings are not updated accordingly.
3D annotations is visible to the designer
