2 DCACT Services Configuration for DX8200C/N
The purpose of this presentation is to help with the configuration of the Professional Services required for the Cloudian and Nexenta solutions First will be DX8200C – Cloudian Second will be DX8200N – Nexenta The scenarios on the following slides represent what is required when adding the Professional Services to the quote & XML In the backup slide for each solution there will be a second scenario where Professional Service is not added to the quote & XML. Ensure DCACT is in CTO mode Start with the Cloudian 5120AC1 model Customize as needed and then go to the Services tab For the first (base) node configuration, select PN 01JY760, DX8200C StorSelect Base Deployment (covers 3 nodes) offering When complete, choose Summary button 2016 Lenovo Internal. On Summary Page, leave base node QTY 1 From base node choose ‘Copy’ On Summary Page, select QTY 2 for ‘Storage2’, this will get you to total of 3 nodes Choose ‘Customize’, so you can edit Pro Services 2016 Lenovo Internal. All rights reserved.

While customizing the remaining initial nodes, make sure to choose ‘None’ for Managed Services Once done customizing, select the Summary button 2016 Lenovo Internal. All rights reserved.

To add additional nodes go to the ‘Storage1’ node and select ‘Copy’ On ‘Storage3’ set QTY to what is needed, then select ‘Customize’ to make change to the Managed Services 2016 Lenovo Internal. All rights reserved.

From the Storage3 customization page, go to the Services tab and change Managed Services to PN 01JY761, ‘Pro Services DX8200C StorSelect Additional Node Deployment’ When complete, select Summary button 2016 Lenovo Internal. All rights reserved.

After you have completed the build of the solution, export and/or save the solution Running ‘Manufacturing Validation’ is not required, but recommended 2016 Lenovo Internal. All rights reserved.

Second Scenario – Add the managed services in CRM and just build the HW/SW configuration in the DCACT Step 1 . Configure node with total node QTY desired and select Managed Services with ‘None’ Step 2.  Import xml into CRM Base and manually add line items in CRM opportunity for Base and Additional Node services PNs if desired. Same rules apply, Base PN should be QTY = 1, and Additional Node QTY should be N – 3 (N=Total Nodes) Exceptions If the quantity of Additional Node professional services calculated in the first scenario is 20x or higher, then sales should create the configuration with Additional Node (None) and add a custom Managed Service in CRM so customer gets a better price If the customer has already purchased DX8200C from Lenovo already and is ordering additional nodes, they must select None and add a custom Managed Service in CRM so customer gets the correct price.   Additional Node is not applicable for purchases post-initial deployment.  2015 Lenovo Internal.
