READY 9: Move the right hand across the body, grasping the small of the stock, keeping the right elbow down READY 10: Releasing the grasp of the left hand and with the right hand move the rifle diagonally across the body about 4 inches from the waist. At the same time, regrasp the handguard just forward of the slip ring with the left hand, also known as PORT ARMS. READY 11: Twist the rifle with the right hand so that the trigger is facing the front , and move the rifle to a vertical position with the carrying handle about 4 inches in front and centered on the body. Lower the rifle until the left forearm is horizontal; keep the elbows in at the sides

READY 12: Raise and twist the rifle with the right hand, moving the muzzle with left hand and regrasping the rifle at the balance with the left hand READY 13: Release your right hand’s grasp from the small of the stock and place it just above your left hand’s grip on the lower hand guard. Your right hand should be flat and the entire arm’s angle should be aligned with the angle of the rifle

9 15 Count (Cont.) READY 14: Release the grasp of the left hand, and lower the rifle, bringing it to your right side, and holding the rifle 3 inches above the ground. At the same time, left hand with fingers extended and joined extending the rifle. Keep forearm and wrist straight and inclined downward READY 15: Complete the order by lowering rifle gently to the ground with right hand. Cut away the left hand smartly to the side. Lower rifle gently but smartly. Do not thrust it down forcibly.
